I currently practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I earned a
Bachelor`s of Arts degree in psychology from Louisiana Tech University and
continued my education to obtain my Master`s of Science degree in Clinical
Mental Health Counseling from the University of LA at Monroe. As a helping
professional, I strive to work collectively with all clients that I serve. I have had
the pleasure of working with women diagnosed with co-occurring disorders
(addiction and other mental health disorders) and counseling their children
assisting to reunite families. In addition to working with women with a
substance use disorder, I have counseled men with co-occurring disorders as
well. I also have experience in counseling adolescents and younger children.
Specifically in working with the younger population, addressing the family as a
whole is just as significant as the individual child/adolescent; therefore, I
conduct family therapy for adolescents and their families.
As a mental health therapist, my thoughts are the therapeutic relationship is
vital in growth regardless of the population or reason an individual seeks
therapy. I utilize a variety of theoretical orientations such as Person-Centered,
Cognitive Behavior Therapy, REBT, Solution Focused, or Family Systems. I
enjoy working with all diverse populations and seeing everyone live healthier
productive lives. Seeking therapy can be challenging, but I am willing to not
have you walk alone.
