Amy F. Stevens

M.Ed., LPC

With over 10 years of experience as a mental health professional, I offer counseling to children, adolescents, and adults; emphasizing wellness within the family system.  I obtained my Masters of Education from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2007 in Community Counseling with a concentration in Addiction Counseling.  I became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2009 and have been working as a Professional Counselor specializing in addictions since obtaining my LPC.  I have provided individual, group, family and couples therapy and have a goal-oriented approach to therapy, which allows clients to own and evaluate their own progress in therapy.  I am trained in EMDR to help those suffering from symptoms of PTSD.  While I have extensive experience and training in working with addiction on an individual, group, couples, and family level, I also have varied experience and expertise in many other specialty areas of counseling.  Some examples of those areas of counseling include eating disorders, personality disorders, and managing marital or family discord. I am active in my professional organizations as well as the local community.  I am passionate about working with others to help them meet their goal and restore balance to their lives.
